It would appear that this blog takes alot of upkeep or time fly's when you are bucking the trend that all is not dead in the construction industry.
It would be right to say that work is proving more hard to come by but I'm still catching up & some new work is still coming in.
Anyway this month Planning applications have been submitted for
1.Alteration works to a property in Clun.
2.Alterations works & extensions to a site in Church Stretton.
3.Outline permission for affordable dwelling Lloyne,Knighton.
A number of Building Regulations applications have also been made.
Good news this month as approval has been granted for a barn to be converted into holiday accommodation. This building has been designed to be used to be used by any disabled holiday makers, advice was sought from Shropshire disabled holiday information The client will now seek contractors to complete these works. Please see the pics of the existing building & drawings of the proposal.

Meadow Barn, Whitcott Keysett, Clun.
Inklines Ltd successfully obtained Planning & Listed Building Consent for the conversion of Meadow Barn in 2005. My clients sold the property with the benefit of permission.

The conversion progressed the build & a large amount of works took place in late 2007 & throughout this year. New plinth walls were constructed under the existing oak frame, none of the existing frame was taken down during this process.
The up to date images show progress has been made with the project, the whole of the new external softwood frame has been built & is now been covered with weather boarding. Handmade window frames are being fitted & half of the slate is on the roof. The http://therooflightcompany.co.uk will be supplying the roof windows next week. A further 6 months work will be required befor the finished article will be acheived.
Mill Farm Holiday homes.
Today we see progress on three new holiday homes just outside Knighton. These homes were approved this year & these pictures show building work is well underway. The client is now in the process of marketing these units with a view to be up & running for Spring 2009.

These external walls will have a render finish with slate roof with a open verandah to each of the three units. The site is located in the Heyope valley with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
